Kindercare Milford

I am home now.  My tour of duty is over.  Many of you asked who was taking care of Little Man while I worked.  Since we have only lived here 1.5 years our options of who to watch our baby were limited.  We were sad that we had to put him in a day care center.  However, we could not be more pleased with the care that Little Man received while he was there.  Holly and Kelly were so good to him.  They can get him to do more things than we can get him to do.  Like eat solids.  They took such good care of him.  We are nothing but pleased with our choice of day cares.  They dealt with my emotional state in the beginning, my stubbornness that even if my son is in day care he will wear cloth diapers, as well as just dealing with an over protective new mom. Holly and Kelly also just loved him.  A mom can't ask for more than that.  Little Man loved being there.  He loved his friends.  He slept better at night.  He was so happy there.  Sending him to daycare was such a hard decision but he thrived there.  Plus, I learned a few tips to be a better mom.  I would send Little Man there again without a doubt.  In fact he goes back in May for a few weeks.

When I sat down to write this blog, I was gonna write about the adventures Little Man and I had last week.  It was gonna be all up beat and fun.  I was gonna share all the fun we had.  However, I am just not feeling it.   First pic of me and my son.  You see I got the call.  "Mrs. Spear, my wife is in labor.  She will need you to fill in for her now."  "Ok, I'll be there Monday morning." So much to think about.  While I am excited about this going back to work idea, I am very sorry to leave Little Man.  I have had the great privilege to have 6 full months and a week to be a full time stay at home mom.    First Bath It has been wonderful and exhausting.  Lovely and inspiring.  Crazy and calm at the same time.  First Car Ride So tiny and small. Apple Picking in AZ...who knew?

 Guest Blogger: Little Man I realize that I am the star of this blog, but since mom has been feeling a bit under the weather lately (I hear she is growing a baby...whatever that means), I thought I'd take a chance to help her out and update you on our wonderful day.  Today was a day I think mom and dad had just as much fun as I did.  This is rare.  I mean they really don't seem to get the wonder that is life.  I mean we have a whole bunch of rocks in our yard, and they are perfect to stick in your cheeks.  This is a blast.  Whenever I do this, instead of joining me, mom starts yelling, "No No No.  Get those rocks out of your mouth."  I really think if she tried it she'd have as much fun as me. Today though they joined me in my fun and only stopped the fun once.  I'll get to that part. As I make the transition from full time stay at home mom to "full-time" working mom/"full-time" mom.  Life changes.  I find I spend the majority of my day preparing for the next day.  I drop my son off at day care at 6:40.  I head to work.  Work.  Work.  Pump so my son has food for the next day.  Work. Work. Work.  (Between the time of work I laugh (inside) at all the funny things that kindergarteners say.)  Pick Little Man up from day care (best part of the day).  Go home.  Clean bottles. Clean pump.  Make new bottles.  Fill bags with new diapers for Little Man tomorrow.  Make dinner.  (I won't say clean up dinner since Main Man does this.) Give Little Man a bath.  Put him to bed.  Climb into bed exhausted.  Then start all over again. Oh friends.  A wonderful trip to NC. Even though I love the school I am working at, I don't know how some women do this all the time. I imagine it would be easier if I was not having to pump and take of all the bottles.
