First Post

It may seem like "THE" thing to do, start a blog.  I am not sure how I feel about putting all my thoughts out there for all to read.  Letting the whole world into my head.  However, I am excited to see where this might go.  It might be great to share thoughts and ideas with others.  

I hope that this blog will make people laugh and think and wonder at the amazement that is life's changes.

Since there has been so much change in our lives, I am more than a little behind in blogging.  Also, the last month of our residency as midwesterners was spent saying good bye to some pretty amazing friends.  So some things were just to hard to blog about.  This day was one of them.   One of the great things about moving so many times, is that I have wonderful amazing friends all over the country.  They are stretched from coast to coast.  We can travel across country and have lots of wonderful free places to stay on vacation.  They have a free place to stay if they want to visit us.   One of the terrible things about moving so many times, is that I have wonderful amazing friends all over the country   They are stretched from coast to coast.  In order to see my best friends I have to travel across country to see them.  None of my best friends live in the same city except two.  I don't get to call up my best gi...

As I make the transition from full time stay at home mom to "full-time" working mom/"full-time" mom.  Life changes.  I find I spend the majority of my day preparing for the next day.  I drop my son off at day care at 6:40.  I head to work.  Work.  Work.  Pump so my son has food for the next day.  Work. Work. Work.  (Between the time of work I laugh (inside) at all the funny things that kindergarteners say.)  Pick Little Man up from day care (best part of the day).  Go home.  Clean bottles. Clean pump.  Make new bottles.  Fill bags with new diapers for Little Man tomorrow.  Make dinner.  (I won't say clean up dinner since Main Man does this.) Give Little Man a bath.  Put him to bed.  Climb into bed exhausted.  Then start all over again. Oh friends.  A wonderful trip to NC. July 28th

July 28th was a big day for our family.  This was the day we left the world of being on the eastern side of the U.S.  Our entire lives have been lived east of the Mississippi River.  Now we live far far west of the Mississippi River.  1,410 miles west of the Mississippi River to be exact.  We moved to AZ.  This was not something that was done on a whim (because who decides that a thousand plus mile move across the country with a one year old, two cars, a uhual, a grandpa, a pawdy, a mor mor, a great friend, two flights, and two bad tires is a good idea over night.).  No, this move took the longest planning the longest praying the longest preparing that we have ever taken over a move.  And we move a lot. I have not written about this move here before because this was a hard move to make.  Writing would have made this move real.  It would have forced me to really inspect all the feelings that this move of separation would cause...
